Women’s Cell of our college strives to empower girl students by imparting awareness on Women’s Rights and Duties. Women’s Cell in a college aims to help the students to strengthen their self-confidence, nurture their skill in decision making and to widen their perspectives on issues related to gender. Our main concern behind Women’s Cell is to help girl students to understand the role of women in constructing a society where all possess equal status and reputation.
Women’s Cell in St Joseph’s Arts and Science College 2022-23 began with its inauguration on 26th August 2022, on commemorating Women’s Equality Day. The Chief guest of the programme was Lt. Letha.K.S, Assistant Professor, Department of Malayalam, Sree Narayana College, Nattika. Welcome to the formal session was done by Ms.Anjaly P., Co-ordinator of Women’s Cell. Presidential address was given by Principal of the college Dr. Joshi. C.O., Mrs. Sinju C.S. introduced the chief guest.
After the inauguration, the chief guest engaged a session about ‘Gender Equality’. Mrs. Shereena Johny (Vice principal) and Mrs. Athira T. also addressed the gathering.
