The sports day at St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College, Pavaratty held on January 24, 2024, was a vibrant and energetic event that brought together students, teachers and staff in a celebration of athleticism.

The day commenced with a colorful and friendly walking competition among teachers, setting a lively tone for the proceedings. The highlight of the opening ceremony was the javelin throw by our Director Fr. Jijo Theethai CMI symbolizing the official start of the auspicious sports day.

Throughout the event, various competitions took place, showcasing the diverse talents and abilities of the participant. They also fostered a sense of healthy competition and sportsmanship, encouraging participants to push their limits and strive for excellence in their respective events. The inclusion of running race, javelin throw, shot put, long Jump, triple jump and walking races enriched the sports day experience at College, making it a memorable and enjoyable occasion for all involved. Students generously shared their joy and enthusiasm with classmates and friends, creating a vibrant atmosphere of celebration exchanging encouraging words and cheers of support. Group 2 emerged as winners with 75 points while Group 1 and 4 secured second and third places with 55 and 47 points respectively. As the sports day drew to a close, hearts were filled with contentment and gratitude and smiles illuminated the faces of all. They carried with them cherished memories and newfound bonds, marking the conclusion of an unforgettable sports day.
