GENESIS 2024

St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College, Pavaratty, ushered in a new academic year with a grand Fresher’s Day celebration, “Genesis 2024,” held on August 29th, 2024.The event was designed to warmly welcome the incoming batch of students and foster a sense of belonging within the college community.

The program commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by a moment of silence to pay respect to the victims of the Wayanad landslides. This act of solidarity set a thoughtful and respectful tone for the celebration.

Mrs. Shereena Johny, the Principal, extended a warm welcome to the freshers in her opening speech.  Following this, Dr. P.T. Jose, the Administrator, delivered an inspiring presidential address, likely setting a motivational tone for the new students’ academic journey.

The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. Biju Balakrishnan, Assistant Professor at Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur. His presence likely added a touch of academic inspiration to the celebration.  Additional felicitations were offered by Mr. Salim K. K. (PTA President), Mr. Ranji Joseph C. (Vice Principal & Academic Co-ordinator), and Mr. Sanjay P. S. (Union Chairman), showcasing the support network available to the new students.

The formal event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Arun Francis, Staff Advisor. This vote of thanks likely expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the event’s success.

However, “Genesis 2024” wasn’t just about speeches – it was a vibrant showcase of talent! A variety of captivating cultural performances, including songs, dances, and even a ramp walk, added color and energy to the celebration. Freshers and existing students alike likely took the stage, creating a memorable experience for all attendees.
