WORLD COMPUTER LITERACY DAY CELEBRATIONS 2025


                    

The Department of Artificial Intelligence conducted a hands-on session titled “Debugging in Raptor
Programming” on 2nd December 2025 (Tuesday) at 2:30 PM in the Computer Lab as part of the
World Computer Literacy Day celebrations. The session was organized to enhance students’
logical thinking and debugging skills, and to promote awareness about the importance of computer
literacy in the modern digital era. The event was coordinated and led by Mrs. Neethu K, Head of
the Department of Artificial Intelligence.
A total of 11 students from various departments actively participated in this debugging
competition. The event was organized in two phases, structured to progressively test the
participants’ debugging skills. The winner was determined by who produced the correct output first.
Mr. Alex Francis from S2 B.Sc. AI emerged as the winner of the Debugging Session, correcting
the code in an impressive 58 seconds. His speed, accuracy, and logical understanding
distinguished him from the other participants.
The “Debugging in Raptor Programming” session, conducted as part of the World
Computer Literacy Day celebrations, was a resounding success. It provided students an
excellent opportunity to strengthen their debugging skills, understand common programming
errors, and enhance their logical thinking. The event also encouraged collaboration and healthy
competition among students from various departments.
