Honouring the father of the Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker, Reading Day is celebrated on June 19th. The Reading Day Celebrations and inauguration of the college literary club were held on 20th June, 2022 at St. Joseph’s. The programme was co-ordinated by Mr. Renjith.A.K. (co-ordinator of literary club), The programme was inaugurated by director of the college, Rev.Fr. Jijo Theethai CMI. The vice principal, Mrs. Shereena Johny was the president of the function. Literary club convener Ms. Nourin R.S. of S5 BA English delivered the welcome speech.

We celebrated the reading day with various competitions including poster making, book review, debate, classroom library making and cover page preparation. It is a fact that reading enhances the power of imagination and creativity. The very purpose of celebrating reading day was to inculcate the habit of reading to enhance the language and communication skills of the students and also to improve or polish their writing skills. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed their creative skills.
