ARTS FESTIVAL

The vibrant celebration of Arts Day at St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College, Pavaratty unfolded over December 2023, marking a memorable occasion filled with creativity and enthusiasm. The chief guest of the program was the renowned Folk singer, Athul Narukara who   stepped into the limelight, enthralling everyone with his timeless rendition of the famous song “ Pala Palli’.

The formal proceedings of the event commenced with a soulful prayer song, The Director of the college Fr. Jijo Theethai CMI gave a heartfelt welcome address, invoking blessings and inspiration upon the gathering. Principal Dr. Joshi C. O.  delivered the presidential address, wherein he eloquently articulated the essence of art and culture in shaping the ethos of St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College. In a symbolic gesture, the esteemed guest and dignitaries came together to ceremoniously light the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and creativity, thus heralding the commencement of the day’s vibrant festivities. The grandeur of the occasion resonated throughout the college campus, reflecting the vibrant spirit and commitment to artistic expression.

As the festivities unfolded, Athul Narukara took center stage, captivating the audience with his repertoire of famous and beloved numbers, further enriching the atmosphere with his unparalleled talent. The electrifying performance ignited a wave of enthusiasm among the audience, while the students danced in harmony to the tunes of popular numbers, serving as a compelling testament to the enduring power of music.

Throughout the day, students and faculty members alike immersed themselves in a myriad of artistic endeavors, showcasing their talents and passions across various forms of expression.  Various classical art forms, mime, traditional and cultural expressions such as Thiruvathirakali and Oppana, adorned the event, highlighting the rich tapestry of artistic heritage and cultural diversity. From captivating performances to captivating exhibitions, the event served as a platform for individuals to explore, appreciate, and celebrate the beauty of art in all its forms.
