‘Busitalks’

Intercollegiate one day seminar

Post Graduate Department of Commerce of St. Joseph’s Arts and Science College, Pavaratty conducted a one day seminar- “Busitalks”, on 26th September 2023 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Saint Chavara Hall.

The program had inaugural session, two technical sessions and valedictory function. Technical session-1: On the topic “Research Methodology with special reference to SPSS, AMOS and R software” was handled by the Resource person Dr. Sivakumar A., Asst. Professor Sree Neelakanda Government Sanskrit College, Pattambi, which was so useful for the students and faculties who were undergoing with their project works. The participants had the opportunity to install the required software in the in the Technical session- 1.

Technical session- II : On the topic “Financial planning for youth” was handled by the Resource Person, Dr. Sanesh C., Asst. Professor and Head, Dept. of commerce, Sree Vyasa NSS College Wadakkanchery, which was liked by most of the participants. The session was useful and made the participants to rethink about their financial future and helped to plan “how to make their future safe and secure”.

The audience included nearly 140 participants (students and faculty members) from various Government, Aided and Self-financing colleges in and around Thrissur. Tea and snacks were provided in both technical sessions. Lunch was also provided.

A feedback form was distributed to all participants and the form was collected back to maintain the record. 87 percentage of the participants opined that the two sessions were very good and were satisfied by all the amenities provided. 13 percentage of the participants suggested that they need a one day workshop for Technical Session- I.

To conclude, The one Day Seminar was found so much beneficial and the courage to move forward was provided by Our college Principal Dr. Joshi C. O. and the Director, Fr. Jijo Theetai CMI. Participants Certificate was distributed to all participants during the valedictory function.
